Lillian Pauline Roberts, 90, went to be with the Lord on March 9, 2025. She was born in McAlester, Oklahoma to Issac Lee & Leona Sadler Baker.
In 1962, Pauline was working as a waitress in Farmington, NM to support her two sons, Lindy & Randy, from a previous marriage when she was introduced to Ewel Roberts by a mutual friend, Otto Downs. They fell in love & were married on November 11, 1962. Shortly after they were married, Ewel adopted both the boys.
Pauline had many passions. One of which was working with children. Ewel & Pauline fostered numerous children that they shared their hearts & home with through the years who became like family, especially Cindy Root, Teresa Towell & Sherry Wilson. She also worked for Farmington Municipal School District as a teachers aid from 1991 to 1996. She & Ewel continued to work for the School District taking tickets for games before finally retiring in early 2000. Pauline loved mentoring women & helping them grow in their faith in God. She had a great love for missions & supported Randy & Sandy in their missions in Costa Rica. She adored her family & always bragged about her grandchildren, great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren. You could always find her on the phone with someone from the church or a dear friend praying, mentoring & encouraging. Pauline & Ewel both faithfully attended Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Pauline was proceeded in death by her husband Ewel Richard Roberts, son, Randall C Roberts, her parents Issac Lee & Leona Baker, her sister Nora Lee Martin, & her brothers Floyd Allen Baker & George Lee Baker.
Pauline is survived by her son Lindy (Kathy) Roberts, & daughter-in-law Sandy Roberts; nephews, Mike & Larry Smith, Richard (Jana) Roberts; niece Gail Smith; sisters-in-law, Jean Baker & Billie Baker; grandchildren, Mychael (Ken) Wickersham, Tony (Kimberly) Roberts, Amanda (Curt) Williams, Sacora (Wes) Rodgers & Tara Holmes; great-grandchildren Alyxandra (Josh), McKenzie, Hannah, Tonie (Patrick), Paola, Ashleigh, Jared, Justin, Emory, Keegan & Aria; great-great-grandchildren, Kylie, Emma & Brian.
A Memorial Service will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church on June 27, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Emmanuel Baptist Church Missions Program.
